Hippy Online

Hey! With Twitter circling the plughole, thought it would be smart to list all the other places online where I can be found, in case it goes down, or I get banned. I do try to crosspost anything especially fun I make across all platforms when possible.

Firstly, I am still on Twitter, and you can find me there @nthlondonhippy. I like(d) Twitter, so I’m aiming to stay there till the bitter end. Did Parisians abandon Paris when the Nazis were occupying? I see Twitter right now as being remarkably similar, and I am part of the resistance.

I’m on BlueSky Social, you can find me there as northlondonhippy.bsky.social.

I’ve also signed up for Mastadon, as @[email protected].

I’m also quite active on Reddit, you can find me there too as u/northlondonhippy

I do have a channel on YouTube, where I upload all my videos. My view counts are sad, mainly because I don’t promote them much. You’re supposed to say “drop a like, subscribe, click the bell to receive updates”, but I never do, until now. I mostly post normal videos, but I have also posted some Shorts, which are TikTok style vertical videos, because…

I am on TikTok. Yes, really. I’ve only posted there a handful of times. And I’m @northlondonhippy if you want to be my new TikTok friend.

I’m not on Facebook, Threads, or Instagram, like at all. And it’s unlikely AF I ever will be. Unless I update this page to tell you otherwise, anyone on those platforms claiming to be me, is an imposter.

And you could always buy my book, Personal Use.

Plus don’t forget this website, right here. This is my true online home, and you’ve already found it. Well done you! Bookmark me!

After a 30 year career as a journalist, working for some of the largest news organisations in the world, including Associated Press and Reuters, and 15 years as a duty news editor for BBC News, Doug – the northlondonhippy is now a full time hippy, whatever the hell that is.

Doug is also the author of “Personal Use by the northlondonhippy.”   “Personal Use” chronicles Doug’s first 35 years of drug use, while calling for urgent drug law reform. It’s a cracking read, you will laugh, you will cry, and you can bet your ass that you will wish you were a hippy too!
